A Vertical Slice with a production time of 7 months.

Take on the role of Eevan and free the Harmony from the tyranny of the Kruggers. Explore the Harmony zone of the medieval slums and harness the power of the runes to access to the Krugger Steampunk areas (areas in strong contrast to each other that divide social classes).
Layout & Blockout
​
Step 1: Collecte several references, layout creation and implementation.
​
A study on medieval cities was carried out. Subsequently, an appropriate layout was created to host linear gameplay.
​
Once the layout was created, it was imported as a sprite on Unreal Engine 4 (1 Cube = 1 Meter) and traced to obtain optimal results, thus saving production time.

Overscope & Rescope
​
Step 2 : Testing e Rescope.
​
After making the blockout, we ran the necessary tests of the project. My team and I detected a possible overscope. Consequently, after the adequate analysis, we carried out a Rescope halving the game map, but enhancing all the areas and path that would have faced the player. Less is more.
Lighting

Step 3: Lighting design and its application
​
Affordance through the study of lighting.
For lighting it was taken as a reference Bloodborne.
Encounter
​
Step 4: Encounter design.
​
The encounters have been studied according to the mechanics available and their acquisition during the gameplay, so enhancing the management of spaces based on necessary lessons.
Enrichment
​
Step 5: finalizing the enrichment of the mediaeval and steampunk areas.
​
During the final stages the enrichment of the two different areas was aimed, giving anticipation to the change of style through specific shots.
Rune enhancement (Power UP )
​
Step 6: Creation of the appropriate area with space of respect for the acquisition of the two upgrades present.
​
Affordance of the type of power by Color Code, visual affordance through beams of light, dedicated area.
